Terms and Conditions

1. General Provisions & Scope

These Terms and Conditions (the "Agreement") govern the rental of campervans and associated equipment offered by The Stable EOOD (UIC 207345678, Sofia, Bulgaria), hereinafter referred to as "the Lessor", via the website thestable.bg.

The person or entity booking the vehicle is hereinafter referred to as "the Hirer". By completing a booking, the Hirer acknowledges and accepts these Terms and Conditions in full.

2. Booking, Payment & Gift Cards

2.1 Booking Process

A booking is considered confirmed only after the Lessor receives the required payment and issues a booking confirmation via email.

2.2 Payment Terms

Full Payment: Standard bookings require 100% payment at the time of booking.
Deposit Option: For bookings made more than 90 days in advance, a 10% non-refundable deposit may be paid to secure the dates, with the balance due 30 days before pickup.

2.3 Gift Cards

The Lessor offers digital and physical Gift Cards. The following terms apply:

Gift Cards are valid for 24 months from the date of issue unless otherwise specified.
Gift Cards are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
To use a Gift Card, the unique code must be entered during the booking process.
If the booking value is lower than the Gift Card value, the remaining balance is forfeited (unless partial balance tracking is explicitly enabled in the system).
If the booking value is higher, the Hirer must pay the difference.

3. Driver Requirements & Authorized Drivers

The vehicle may only be driven by the Hirer and additional drivers registered in the rental contract.

Age & Experience: All drivers must be at least 21 years old and have held a valid Class B driving license for at least 2 years.
Documentation: Original, valid driving licenses and a passport/ID card must be presented by all drivers at pickup. Non-EU licenses may require an International Driving Permit (IDP).
Liability: The Hirer is fully responsible for ensuring all drivers comply with these terms. Use by an unauthorized driver voids all insurance coverage.

4. Use of the Vehicle & Travel Restrictions

4.1 Permitted Use

The vehicle is intended for private travel and leisure only. Commercial use, subletting, transport of hazardous goods, or participation in motorsport events is strictly prohibited.

4.2 Territorial Limits

Travel is permitted within the EU, UK, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, and Balkan countries (Serbia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina). Travel to Turkey, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, and North Africa is strictly prohibited.

4.3 Care Obligations

Smoking: Strictly prohibited inside all vehicles. A €250 cleaning fee applies for violations.
Pets: Allowed only with prior notification. Hirers must ensure pets do not damage upholstery or fixtures. An additional cleaning fee may apply if the vehicle is returned with excessive pet hair or odors.
Off-road: Driving on unpaved roads or "off-road" is prohibited and voids insurance coverage for undercarriage damage.

5. Pickup & Return

Timing: While the rental dates are fixed, there are no predefined pickup or return times. The Lessor and Hirer will individually agree upon the specific time and location for vehicle delivery and collection. Late returns without prior agreement interfere with the next Hirer's trip.
Condition: The vehicle is delivered clean and with a full tank of fuel. It must be returned in the same condition.
Fuel: If the vehicle is returned with less than a full tank, the Lessor will charge the cost of fuel plus a €30 refueling service fee.
Cleaning: A basic service fee is included in the booking. However, if the vehicle is returned excessively dirty (interior), an additional cleaning fee of €100 will be charged.

6. Cancellation & Rebooking

6.1 Standard Cancellation

More than 30 days before pickup: 50% refund of the rental price.
14 to 30 days before pickup: 25% refund of the rental price.
Less than 14 days before pickup: No refund.
Note: Booking fees and "Flex Option" fees are non-refundable.

6.2 Flex Option

If the "Flex Option" was purchased at booking:

Cancellation up to 48 hours before pickup: Full refund of the rental price as a Travel Voucher valid for 12 months.

7. Security Deposit

A security deposit of €500 (or as specified for the vehicle type) must be authorized on the Hirer's credit card or paid via debit card at pickup. This deposit covers minor damages, missing equipment, or administrative fees not covered by insurance.

8. Insurance & Liability

8.1 Coverage

The rental price includes comprehensive insurance (Casco) and Third-Party Liability. The stable.bg provides €0 Deductible for standard accidental damage to the vehicle body, glass, and tires.

8.2 Exclusions (Full Liability)

The Hirer remains fully liable (insurance is void) for damages caused by:

Gross negligence or willful misconduct (e.g., driving under influence).
Use of wrong fuel (misfueling).
Damage to the interior, roof, or awning caused by improper use or wind/weather.
Driving on prohibited roads or in prohibited countries.
Height/width misjudgment (e.g., hitting bridges or low-hanging branches).

9. Accidents & Breakdown

In case of an accident, theft, or fire, the Hirer must:

Immediately notify the local Police and obtain a written report.
Notify the Lessor immediately (+359 888 820 589).
Complete the European Accident Report form found in the vehicle.

10. Fines & Tolls

The Hirer is solely responsible for all traffic violations, parking fines, and tolls during the rental period. The Lessor will provide Hirer details to authorities and reserves the right to charge an administrative fee of €25 per fine processed.

11. Privacy & Data Protection

The Lessor processes personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Data is used for contract fulfillment, legal compliance, and, if consented to, marketing purposes.

12. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of Bulgaria. The courts of Sofia shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising from this Agreement.
