1. Scope of Contract & Permitted Use

Contractual Partner

The contract is concluded between the tenant ("Hirer") and thestable.bg (The Stable EOOD).

Permitted Use

The vehicle is rented solely for private purposes (e.g., holiday travel, participation in sports events). Commercial use, subletting, or use for moving house is prohibited.

Travel Restrictions

The vehicle may be used within the Member States of the European Union (EU), as well as Iceland, Norway, Switzerland, Albania, Andorra, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Liechtenstein, Moldova, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, and Great Britain.

Travel to Turkey, Russia, Ukraine, Morocco, and other non-EU countries not listed above is expressly prohibited.

The vehicle must not be used for motorsport events, vehicle tests, or transport of dangerous substances.

2. Authorized Drivers

Requirements

The vehicle may only be driven by the Hirer and drivers specified in the rental contract. Drivers must be of legal age and have held a valid Class B (or Class 3) driving license for at least one year.

Documentation

Original driving licenses must be presented at pickup. Copies are not accepted.

Liability

The Hirer is responsible for the actions of all drivers. If an unauthorized driver uses the vehicle, insurance coverage may be voided, and the Hirer is fully liable for all damages.

3. Prices & Payment

Composition

The total price includes the daily rental rate, booked equipment, a booking fee, and a service/preparation fee.

Included

The daily rate covers vehicle use, maintenance, wear and tear repairs, and basic insurance coverage.

Excluded Costs

Fuel, tolls, camping fees, ferries, and fines are the responsibility of the Hirer.

Payment Terms

The total amount is due immediately upon booking.

Flex Option

If a Flex option is booked >60 days before pickup, 50% is due immediately, and 50% is due 60 days before pickup.

4. Cancellation & Rebooking Policy

Rebooking

Rebooking is permitted. If the new price is higher, the difference must be paid. If lower, the difference is refunded (subject to timing rules).

5. Security Deposit

Amount

A security deposit of €800 must be deposited via credit or debit card at the time of pickup.

Return

The deposit will be released after the vehicle is returned in undamaged condition.

Withholding

The lessor reserves the right to withhold the deposit to cover damages, cleaning fees, or traffic fines.

6. Pickup & Return

Timing

The vehicle must be returned by the agreed time. Late returns will incur a fee of €50 per hour, up to a maximum of €500 per 24 hours.

Fuel

The vehicle must be returned with a full fuel tank. If returned not full, a refilling fee applies based on the missing level (e.g., €50 to €200 depending on emptiness).

7. Care Obligations (Smoking & Pets)

Smoking

Strictly prohibited in all vehicles. Violations will result in a cleaning fee and potential withholding of the deposit.

Pets

Pets are allowed! We love furry friends, but please keep them off the upholstery and beds to ensure the van stays fresh for the next adventurer.

Exclusions

The Hirer is fully liable for damage caused by gross negligence, usage prohibited by these T&C (e.g., off-road driving), misfueling, or awning damage caused by wind/rain.

9. Accidents & Reporting

Police Report

In the event of an accident, theft, fire, or damage by game (animals), the police must be notified immediately.

Notification

The Hirer must notify thestable.bg immediately via email/phone and submit a filled accident report.

10. Traffic Fines & Tolls

Nobody likes tickets... but if you get one, it’s on you. The Hirer is responsible for all traffic fines, parking tickets, and tolls incurred during the rental period. If we receive a fine after you return the vehicle, we will charge your card for the amount plus a small processing fee.

11. Data Protection

Your secrets are safe with us. We only use your personal data to process your booking and comply with legal requirements. We won't sell your data to third parties or use it to spam you with unwanted emails.

12. When Life Happens (Force Majeure)

Sometimes things don't go according to plan. If the vehicle you booked becomes unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances (like a breakdown from a previous renter), we will do our best to provide a suitable alternative. If we can't, we'll offer you a full refund or help you reschedule your trip.
